AFFF Disposal: Challenges & Opportunities

AFFF is an effective tool for smothering hydrocarbon and liquid-fueled fires. Unfortunately, PFAS from the foam can seep into the soil once the fire is out and contaminate ground and drinking water. The qualities that make PFAS valuable to industry also allow them to spread throughout the environment and difficult to clean up.
