As most of you are aware, Washington has adopted the nation’s first state-run long-term care (LTC) insurance program for Washington residents, to be paid through a payroll tax by Washington employees. Known as the “WA Cares Fund”, this benefit is set up to self-fund, which means the opt-out options are limited.
